Fat Fish Tournament

Join NAVSTA Norfolk MWR Sailing Center & Marina for the 2025 Annual Fat Fish Tournament on Saturday, August 30 from 5:30 AM to 2 PM. The captain's meeting begins at 5:30 AM. The event will officially begin at 6 AM and boats must return by 2 PM. Weigh-in will begin at 2:15 PM. The cost to participate in this tournament is $30 per person for active duty E-1 to E-6 and $40 per person for everyone else this includes boat rental and fuel. Get an additional 10% off for each additional participant you enroll with. Enroll all five team members and pay a flat rate of $80. There will be nine boats competing with a team of five people. Lunch will be provided upon return. Judging will begin immediately following lunch.    

All anglers must register individually. Each boat requires one qualified “skipper” (someone who has successfully completed the safe powerboating course.) Early registration is recommended. Boat availability is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Prizes:  

- First place prize is a full free day boat rental for each team member (or free powerboat course enrollment) with a NSN Marina t-shirt of your choosing

- Second place prize is a free half-day boat and fishing rod rental for each team member

- Third place is one free full day fishing kayak rental (for all team members).
