Polar Plunge

Take the plunge! Join NSA HR – Portsmouth MWR Aquatics and Liberty for our Polar Plunge on Friday, January 31. The plunge will take place at Riverview Aquatics Center beginning at 5 pm. Riverview Aquatics Center does not have HVAC so make sure to bring warm clothing/towels to use after you take the plunge. At 5:30 pm, on the patio deck of River’s Edge Liberty Center, join us for some hot cocoa and s’mores. Then finally at 6 pm we will be showing a movie with free popcorn. You do not have to take part in the plunge to enjoy the hot cocoa/s’mores and movie!

There will be a free raffle drawing and prizes given out during this event. Prizes include swim gear and NEX gift cards.

All jumpers taking the plunge will sign a waiver. Non-swimmers will wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket. This event is free and open to all military, retirees, contractors, and eligible family members age 10 and older.
