Registration will be open from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 30 from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Youth Center. Practice will be every Monday for six weeks at the Youth Center. Session one will take place from 5:30 to 6 PM and session two will take place from 6 to 6:30 PM.
This clinic is open to all active duty, DoD/NAF civilians and dependents. The cost to participate is $25 per child. Only credit and debit cards are accepted. All children must provide a proof of birth, such as a birth certificate, passport, or base ID.
The Start Smart Program is a program of the National Alliance for Youth Sports, which teaches children (ages three to four) the basic motor skills necessary to play organized sports while they spend quality time and work one-on-one with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parent’s the basic sports mechanics without the pressures of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Start Smart Program sessions are held for six weeks, and each week the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement.
Volunteer coaches needed! Volunteers are the backbone of our youth sports program. Without volunteers, there wouldn’t be a sports program. Volunteers are needed for every program. Those who wish to sign up as a volunteer will receive free sport registration for their child(ren). They must provide proof of First Aid/CPR certification, and will receive a letter documenting the hours volunteered, a free membership with the National Alliance of Youth Sports and Fitness, and training from our Youth Sports and Fitness team. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact the JEB Little Creek Fort Story Youth Center.
