Fat Fish Tournament

Join NAVSTA Norfolk MWR Sailing Center & Marina for the 2025 Annual Fat Fish Tournament on Saturday, July 26 from 5:30 AM to 2 PM. The captain's meeting begins at 5:30 AM. The event will officially begin at 6 AM and boats must return by 2 PM. Weigh-in will begin at 2:15 PM. The cost to participate in this tournament is $60 per person and includes boat rental and fuel. There will be nine boats competing with a team of five people. Lunch will be provided upon return. Judging will begin immediately following lunch.    

All anglers must register individually. Each boat requires one qualified “skipper” (someone who has successfully completed the safe powerboating course.) Early registration is recommended. Boat availability is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Prizes:  

- First place prize is 50% off a full-day boat rental (for all team members).  

- Second place prize is 50% off a half-day boat rental (for all team members).  

- Third place is one free full day fishing kayak rental (for all team members).
