Big Boat Camp (Ages 8 to 12)

NAVSTA Norfolk MWR Sailing Center & Marina is hosting a junior big boat camp for children ages 8 to 17 years old beginning Monday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 20 from 9 am to 4 pm. The cost to participate in this camp is $225 per child.  

Set sail on a new adventure in this exciting three-day camp aboard a Colgate 26. Sailors will learn to work as a cohesive crew while handling larger vessels. They will also gain valuable knowledge in navigating waterways and have the opportunity to plan their own voyages, using tools like charts and compasses to plot courses – all under the guidance of our expert instructors. 

We require advanced registration prior to the desired session. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call or stop by our Sailing Center and Marina to register. Payment must be made at time of registration. Registration packets will be issued once sign-up is completed and must be returned the first day of camp. Completion of beginner sailing is required. Sign your sailor up for more than one camp and enjoy $25 off each additional camp.
