Plein Air Painting

Spend the morning painting by the water with NAS Oceana MWR Liberty. Join us at Dam Neck Beach for a plein air painting class on Saturday, May 9 from 9:30 AM to 2 PM. Instructors from the Chrysler Museum will guide this two-hour plein air session using supplies from the museum’s Wheels of Wonder van. Set up an easel, take in the beach views, and paint what you see. No experience needed. Transportation departs from the Great Escape 30-minutes before the session. If the session doesn’t cooperate the session will move indoors to the Great Escape. This event is for active duty E-1 to E-6 only.
