Fitness Specialist - Fitness & Sports (NAVSTA Norfolk, WPNSTA Yorktown, CAX, HH)

Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes (step, spinning, aquatics, etc.). The position requires a general certification for group exercise leader and individual certifications for all specialized classes.

Lead Lifeguard - Fitness & Sports (NSA HR - Northwest, NAS Oceana/Dam Neck Annex, CAX)

Do you have prior experience lifeguarding at pools and would like to gain leadership knowledge and skills? Candidates will be responsible for being the lead operator of the assigned aquatics facility, and provide coaching and mentorship to a team of lifeguards. Lead lifeguards will also have involvement in the planning and execution of various swim programs and special events throughout the summer. Recreation Assistant (Dock Master) - Marina (NAVSTA Norfolk)

Enjoy working outdoors on the water, the NAVSTA Norfolk Marina and Sailing Center is just the place for you! The Dock Master position oversees the Marina Basin on the World’s Largest Naval Base, ensuring all docks are kept clean, safe and in good working order. The position also ensures those that live aboard their vessels are secured properly in their slips and the bathhouses are kept clean and stocked for everyday use. The Dock Master position is critical to the daily upkeep of the Marina and all those who store their boats on base. If you enjoy interacting with new people daily and providing world class customer service this is the position for you.

Recreation Assistant (Jr. Sailing Instructor) - Marina (NAVSTA Norfolk)

Do you love being on the water! What a great opportunity to be on the water with NAVSTA Norfolk Sailing Center Jr. Camp conducting lessons and ensuring safety on the water and providing information to patrons regarding safety, rules and procedures. Enforces applicable policies and procedures regarding the use of marina sailing equipment. Keeps boating area clean and free of hazards. Observes wind, weather and tides and makes recommendations to supervisor for appropriate action. Performs minor maintenance, including but not limited to painting, rigging and fiberglass work. Must be familiar with sailboat terminology, water and boating safety. Must be able to handle both large and small sailboats and chase boats

Do you love to clean? Does a sparkling kitchen make you happy? MWR needs you as part of our housekeeping team. We have recreational leisure cabin rentals that need your TLC after guest visits including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning kitchen and appliances, changing linens and removal of trash.
